Maggie Queen

Maggie Queen is an education strategist, researcher, and writer working at the intersection of instructional improvement and the future of education. Over the last 15 years, she has served as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, consultant, and district-level partner, supporting educators and leadership teams through curriculum adoption, professional learning, coaching, and organizational change.

As Founder and Principal Consultant of Queen Education Partners, Maggie helps schools and education organizations turn ambitious instructional priorities into sustainable practice. Her work includes curriculum implementation strategy, leadership coaching, professional learning, PLC development, walkthrough calibration, and responsible AI integration. She is known for connecting systems-level thinking with the realities of classrooms—and for bringing clarity, steadiness, and respect for professional judgment to complex change.

Alongside her consulting work, Maggie is developing the 22nd Century Learning Framework, a long-term research and foresight project exploring what education is for in a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence. Her working North Star is that the purpose of education is to prepare people to advance human flourishing. She writes about this inquiry in In Human Terms on Substack, connecting research, philosophy, policy, technology, and educational practice.

Maggie holds Texas educator certifications in secondary mathematics and school leadership, with additional training in instructional appraisal and cognitive coaching. Originally from Texas, she now lives in Costa Rica with her husband and their three dogs, where she enjoys good coffee, meaningful work, and the creative adventure of building something new.
